Buyer safety
Check the rating before you fit it.
- Read the pressure for your material. Brass ratings in the catalogue are lower than stainless and carbon steel on the same shape.
- Ratings follow ASME B31.3 at ambient temperature. For B31.1 power piping, multiply carbon steel ratings by 0.85. Other materials stay as listed.
- Thread sealant, and any gasket or O-ring, can limit the temperature below the metal rating. Buna N is listed to 230°F (110°C). Fluorocarbon FKM is listed to 400°F (204°C).
- Dimensions are for reference and can change. The E dimension is a minimum opening.
- Order with the material prefix: SS, S, or B. Heavy-wall numbers already include SS. A minimum quantity may apply.
- If a part is not in the pipe fittings catalogue, do not reuse a nearby pressure figure. Ask for that part on its own.
