A.S. Engineering Works publishes a pipe fittings catalogue covering 1/16 to 1 in., in stainless steel, carbon steel, and brass, with NPT, ISO/BSP, and SAE threads.
Straight fittings and tube adapters are made from bar. Elbows, crosses, and tees are forgings. Parts are cleaned to remove oil, grease, and loose particles. Carbon steel is zinc plated. Heavy-wall fittings are offered only in 316 stainless steel, and those order numbers already include the material designator.

Materials
- Stainless steel, designator SS. Bar to ASTM A276, ASME SA479, EN 1.4401. Forgings to ASTM A182. Maximum temperature 1,000°F (537°C).
- Carbon steel, designator S. Bar to ASTM A108. Maximum temperature 375°F (190°C). For ASME B31.1 power piping, multiply carbon steel ratings by 0.85.
- Brass, designator B. Bar to ASME B16 and ASTM B453. Forgings to ASTM B283. Maximum temperature 400°F (204°C).
Gaskets and O-rings: Buna N to 230°F (110°C). Fluorocarbon FKM to 400°F (204°C). The smallest stainless hex nipple in the catalogue is rated 11,000 psig (757 bar).
